We were hired by an important company in the large-scale retail chain to carry out a continuous monitoring service on the distribution of advertising material and billposting, at a national level.
SOME FIGURES…
Below are some figures and results obtained in 2020:
Number of monitoring: 810
Houses monitored: 140.320
Positive result: 91.02%
Negative result: 8.98%
SOME CRITICAL ASPECTS EMERGING BEFORE AND DURING THE DISTRIBUTION CONTROL
When we carry out our control on the distribution of advertising material, some critical aspects immediately emerge during the organisation of the monitoring activity itself:
- incomplete and incorrect sending of distribution programmes
- no updated and detailed maps
In addition, a control of the area may pinpoint negative and uncertain aspects, and the group leaders that distribute the material are often unavailable.
CRITICAL ASPECTS RELATING TO BILLPOSTING
Below are some of the critical aspects relating to the billposting service in the area:
- insufficient details regarding the geographic location of the billposting (reference street, height of house number)
- no indication of the billposting date
In order to raise the quality standards of the inspectors’ work, in 2020 we organised training courses and inserted new staff in certain geographic areas to better monitor the performance of all local distributors, even in the more remote areas.
